I was just doing a little coffee run on Ste.Catherine Street (one of the main shopping streets in Montreal).

There are many homeless and begging people on this street, and I always wish I could do more to help. Anyhow, one particular elderly man I saw had a sign asking people for any food they could spare! There's NO WAY I could just turn away from that. So I picked up an extra scone when I bought my coffee:
He was so happy! But I think I was even happier. Small gestures just make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
When I got home, I still had that darn scone story on my mind. Why not google scones?? I searched through many recipes, looking for tasty, healthier, and more creative options. I couldn't help but share the best:
Blackberry Coconut Chocolate Scones
Avocado Scones
Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cherry Scones
It's sooooo going to be a scone weekend :)
Happy living,

I know exactly what you mean about small gestures--it makes me smile knowing that I have helped someone else out, especially when it is unexpected.
Those scones all sound great!
I know that exact feeling! Its a great feeling you get when you help someone, even if it is a small gesture!
And I am loving the scone recipes you have found! My pastors wife makes amazing scones. I had them the other day and have been craving them ever since!
This is so lovely! Helping others is so rewarding, and you are giving us an amazing example of that.
Scones have recently crossed my radar and I'm LOVING them! A nearby vegan bakery, called Wildflour, makes an amazing mushroom-spinach scone. It's so die for!
It was so generous of you to give him that scone. It's the small things that you do for others that count. I bet you just made his day. :)
I wanted to let you know I left you an award on my blog! I hope you have a fabulous day!!
Clearly, I'm just catching up on my blog-reading! Sorry I've missed out on so much great stuff! You are so kind! It really is the small gestures that make all the difference in this world. You are definitely doing your part!
P.S. - I *love* scones! I'll take one over a donut any day of the week! :)
